Japanese ice cream (Yamazaki)

9:56:00 AM 2 Comments
I have written about Yamazaki before. Its a restaurant with adjoining Japanese grocery. This time tho, i tried checking their stock after dinner. We indulged ourselves with their different ice creams. We cheched their best sellers and what a joy we found!

Vanilla ice cream on cup
Green tea

My favorite! It has red mongo cream insidre. It's like eating the red mongo in halo-halo with ice cream on top of a belgian waffle! Yum!

Cup costs Php91 while the sandwich costs Php 95.

Cafe Via Mare

9:14:00 PM 2 Comments
I don't know know why I have never written anything about Cafe Via Mare when I always frequent the place. Most often times it has become a default place for me just like the other fastfood places I go to when I do not want to think or walk far to eat.

Last weekend was one of those nights. We were too tired to walk far. The other nearby places seemed a little unappetizing. So the default place: Cafe Via Mare.

Honda Bay (Esteban in Palawan Day 2)

The first time I went to Puerto Princesa, the highlight for me was not the Underground River. The first moment I donned my snorkeling gear and looked at Palawan beaches' treasure, I fell in love and thanked God about the beauty of His creation. This is not an exaggeration.

When we visited again last August, I can’t wait to show my family what I experienced before. And they too were captivated.

Nihonbashitei

I have always heard of Nihonbashitei from my friend Taj. She dines there at least once a week with her sister. I never really tried it though it was very near our office. I guess because it seemed always full. And I have no real patience for waiting.

Anyway, a few weeks ago at lunch, I decided to try it out. And who better to go with me than Taj, given all her praises of the place.

Go greek!

Moussaka is layers of  eggplant and meat sauce and then baked.

I seldom eat at Glorietta 4's food choices but whenever i get the chance, there's only one place that beckons me: go greek!
And i realize i always order the same things. It was a moussaka meal again for me, this time with tzatziki and pita bread (cucumber and yoghurt dip).
I should try the others in their menu next time. :D

Badjao Inn - after all these years (Esteban in Palawan Day 1)

8:12:00 AM 0 Comments
I have been to Puerto Princesa before. I was there in 2006  and last August was the only opportunity to go back. It is the same beautiful city yet vastly different. The island is still a non-smoking and no littering place. But there are more business places now. Robinson's mall is already being constructed, while SM was already confirmed to be building their own soon (confirmed at least by our trusty tricycle driver/guide). There was also  an Eton Square (?) already. The last time I went there, they didn't have a mall !

In 2006, you can only choose from the famous restos like Kinabuch, Ka Lui or Badjao. Or eat at your hotel. But now, you can always opt to eat at Chowking, Jollibee or Mang Inasal. That's progress I guess.

Despite these changes, the August trip was the first time for my family to explore Puerto Princesa and I hope to give them the same sense of beauty I experienced in 2007. So I strove to make it an authentic Puerto Prinsesa experience for them :D.

SEEN!
