Cibo delicioso

I can't exactly remember why I seldom eat at Cibo but lately, I have been rediscovering the place. I must say that it is my current favorite pasta place.
Below are just pictures of last night's dinner (my nth visit this month)
Pasta Novegese Farfalle @ P275
The Norvegese is cream, capers and smoked salmon. I don't particularly enjoy it (just because I am comparing it with Ala Romana) but the salmon does not mix well with the cream. It was as if I was tasting the cream, the pasta and the salmon separately. Also, the cream does not seem to coat the pasta very well so there were moments I was eating just pasta.

Oblong pizza :)
Pizza Prosciutto di Parma @P358
I only tasted the Pizza Prosciutto di Parma as I was already full with the pasta (yes, I finished the Norvegese despite the comment above :P). It is bacon, cheese and the leaf (which I do not really know). The combination made me feel as if I was eating healthy though it is pizza. By the way, it has thin crust which was really crunchy.
Yes, it still has the regular 8 slices

Current favorite  Pasta Ala Romana Spaghetinni @ P225
Cibo Greenbelt's dining area
I plan to come back again soon. I can't wait to rediscover the other pasta dishes I have ignored for so long.

Frozen Yoghurt Indulgence

8:11:00 AM 1 Comments

After a disappointing dinner, my food partner Junjie and I decided we should at least compensate the night with a nice dessert. Since we were on a "healthy" mode, we decided to forego the chocnut pie beckoning at us from the other kiosk and decided to indulge ourselves with frozen yoghurt.

Cost for a regular cup is P85, while large is about P100. Since size did not differ much, we opted for the regular cup with one topping each (additional P15, 20 or 25 depending on topping). And because we were trying to be healthy, we chose fruits. I opted for strawberry while Junjie opted for mango.

Jack's Loft

I think it was my first time to go to Il Terrazo in Tomas Morato, Quezon City. After all, I live in the south, plus I don’t see any point in going to the north, unless I have something important to do.

But one rainy Thursday, I found myself “exploring” the north and reminding myself of how it used to be when I was studying in the premiere university.

Since we were both in the north, my food partner Junjie and I decided to meet up and have dinner. The only condition? It should be a place that cannot be found in the Makati area, or at least not in Greenbelt or Glorietta. We ended up in Jack’s Loft.

Going crazy with Krazy Garlik

12:29:00 AM 0 Comments
Krazy Garlik is located at the second floor of Greenbelt 5 (just above Mango). Concept – wise, I think the restaurant is a bit confused. Aside from the name and mentioning that their food usually has lots of garlic, their menu and ambiance does not really tie together. I am not saying it is not nice though. Menu design is nice but a little girly. Place is clean with nice comfy chairs. They have comfortable sofas in their al fresco area…I like their glasses and plates (yes, as in glasses and plates. Unfortunately I don’t have pictures).

Their menu offers Filipino food, to pizza, to salads, to pasta, to alcoholic drinks (See! Confused right?). Most of the food has garlic bulbs. I don’t know what they do with the cloves tho because it has the flavor minus the pungent smell / taste.

Yummy Yamazaki

I usually get irritated whenever I passed by the MCS area when I am on my way home. The place is packed with cars, making the street their parking lot, trying to get into those little Japanese restaurants. Supposedly the restaurants are serving authentic Japanese food.

Now I understand. And i wouldn't be surprised if I find myself lining up and trying to get into one of those restaurants.

Our Executive Creative Director just introduced me to Yamazaki Restaurant and Grocery, and what a joy I found. I couldn't wait to try it again, I had to go back the next day.
